If you are insane enough to spend money on my music, i am insane enough to spend a few hours making you some Twisted People. Even if you don't buy my music, I'll still make you some Twisted People because i love you. But enough about me-- Fuck you.

about

Paranoid Department Store is the soundtrack of one man's separation from god. All songs were written by Elizabeth Carter on piano throughout the Fall of 2016.

In late January, 2017, Vill Weeder began visiting Elizabeth’s home on Wednesday mornings at 8:30 a.m., where they performed and documented thirteen consecutive 29-minute(ish) concerts for Elizabeth’s 3 poodles (Lizzy, Arty, and Stout) and 3 favorite dolls (Baby Boy, Princess, and Poodle Dick) over the span of a few months.

On Tuesday, May 23rd, 2017, between 9 p.m. and midnight, Ben Morey captured all tracks performed live by Elizabeth, Vill, and r.nuuja at South Wedge Mission church. Vill is devastating on piano. Equipped with a suitcase full of homemade instruments, r.nuuja makes improvisational noise that single-handedly elevates the mood from somber to freak show. Elizabeth, draped in a well-ironed hospital gown, tries not to ruin everything.

Ben Morey engineered, mixed, and mastered Paranoid Department Store.

Alex “Beefus” D’Aurelio drew something special.
